Attorney General Alan Wilson, along with representatives from 19 other states, has called on the U.S. Senate to expedite the confirmation of President Trump's nominees for key national security positions. The nominees include Pam Bondi for Attorney General, Kash Patel for Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and Governor Kristi Noem for Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

"As Attorney General of South Carolina, I am proud to stand with my colleagues in supporting the bold leadership our nation needs at this critical moment," stated Attorney General Wilson. He emphasized that their endorsement letter reflects a commitment to "restoring integrity, upholding the rule of law, and defending the constitutional freedoms of every American."

Wilson criticized policies under the Biden administration, claiming they have endangered American lives and transformed every state into a border state. He cited figures such as over 66,000 Chinese nationals apprehended by Border Patrol and nearly 400 individuals on terrorist watchlists attempting entry into the country. Wilson expressed confidence in Governor Noem's ability to restore border security.

The call for reform extends to the Department of Justice and FBI. Wilson alleged that under Biden's leadership, these institutions have misdirected their focus by targeting concerned parents at school board meetings and labeling conservative Catholics as domestic terrorists. He argued that Bondi and Patel are necessary to realign these agencies' priorities towards protecting Americans.

General Wilson underscored the importance of confirming Trump's nominees swiftly to ensure they can begin restoring integrity within their respective agencies and address national security concerns.
