U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham has issued a statement regarding the recent terrorist attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, Louisiana. The incident occurred on New Year's Day and resulted in the loss of lives and injuries to several individuals.

Senator Graham expressed his condolences, stating, "All Americans are heartbroken this New Year’s Day because innocent people enjoying their lives were killed or injured in a senseless, cowardly act of terrorism. May God grant healing to the wounded and comfort to the families of the fallen."

He also addressed broader concerns about global terrorism, noting, "Over the last several years, we have allowed radical Islam to regain its footing in places like Afghanistan. That inevitably leads to inspired attacks against our homeland and that of our allies." He emphasized the need for vigilance, saying, "To protect America, we have to keep radical Islam beaten down throughout the world. If not, we will pay a heavy price at home."

The statement reflects ongoing concerns about international security and domestic safety amid global tensions.
