U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham from South Carolina has expressed his condolences on the passing of Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States. In his statement, Graham highlighted Carter's life achievements and contributions.

Graham remarked, "President Carter lived a full, incredible and consequential life. He will be remembered for his decency and his humanitarian efforts as much as any legislative accomplishment." He emphasized Carter's role in achieving significant Middle East reconciliation during his presidency.

Reflecting on Carter's background, Graham noted, "He achieved major Middle East reconciliation during his presidency and proved once again that coming from humble roots in one of the most rural areas of America is no barrier to becoming president and living out big dreams."

In conclusion, Graham acknowledged Carter's faith by stating, "As a committed Christian, he has now rejoined the love of his life, Rosalynn. May he rest in peace."
