U.S. Senator Tim Scott has expressed his support for President-elect Donald Trump's nomination of Scott Bessent as the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury. Bessent, a native of South Carolina, is recognized for his business acumen and understanding of economic stewardship.

"We also must ensure our economic national security tools – including sanctions, illicit finance protections, and export controls – work together to advance our national security interests," Scott added.
