Smithey Ironware Company has announced an expansion of its operations in Charleston County, South Carolina. The cookware designer and manufacturer is investing $3.1 million, which will result in the creation of 16 new jobs.
Established in Charleston in 2015, Smithey specializes in designing, marketing, and manufacturing premium cast iron and carbon steel cookware. Their product line includes American-made skillets, roasters, Dutch ovens, and more.
The company has recently moved into a new headquarters at 1061 Everglades Ave. in North Charleston. This facility accommodates administrative teams and features a public showroom. Additionally, Smithey has opened a distribution warehouse at 2060 North Hobson Ave., also in North Charleston. This new facility supports expanded fulfillment operations and increased production volumes. It will also house the company's expanded custom engraving operations for personalized cookware.
