South Carolina leaders announce weekly schedule including economic development and legislative activities

Gov. Henry McMaster, Lt. Gov. Pamela S. Evette, and First Lady Peggy McMaster have announced their schedules for the week of August 26, 2024.

On Tuesday, August 27 at 11:30 AM, Lt. Gov. Evette will attend the South Carolina Women’s Executive Leadership Luncheon at the Greenville Convention Center Ballroom in Greenville, S.C.

Later that day at 2:00 PM, Gov. McMaster will oversee a State Fiscal Accountability Authority meeting in Room 252 of the Edgar Brown Building in Columbia, S.C.

On Wednesday, August 28 at 5:00 PM, Lt. Gov. Evette will provide closing remarks at the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce’s Washington Night at the Pastides Alumni Center in Columbia, S.C.

Thursday's schedule includes multiple events for both officials. At 8:00 AM on August 29, Lt. Gov. Evette will attend the BMW Supplier Diversity Xchange at the Greenville Convention Center Ballroom in Greenville, S.C.

At 10:30 AM on Thursday, Gov. McMaster will attend an economic development announcement in Aiken County at Sage Valley Ledge in Aiken, S.C.

Lt. Gov. Evette is scheduled to speak to the Lexington Chamber of Commerce’s Awards and Annual Meeting at noon on Thursday at the DoubleTree by Hilton's Congaree Ballroom in Columbia, S.C.

Later that afternoon at 2:30 PM, Gov. McMaster will hold a ceremonial bill signing for H. 5042, the Robert Smalls Monument bill, on the first floor of the State House in Columbia, S.C.

On Monday, August 19:

- Office hours were held at the Governor's office.

- Meetings with agencies and constituents took place throughout the afternoon.

Tuesday's agenda on August 20 involved:

- An agency call early morning.

- Policy and agency meetings later in the day.

Wednesday’s schedule on August 21 featured:

- Agency meetings during mid-morning.

- A ceremonial bill signing for S. 1021, the Abandoned Building Tax Credit bill.

- Additional policy and constituent meetings followed throughout the day.

On Friday, August 23:

- Opening remarks were provided by Gov. McMaster at the South Carolina Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity Conference.

- The remainder of his day was spent holding office hours at his office.
