Governor outlines schedule with key legislative activities

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Gov. Henry McMaster, Lt. Gov. Pamela S. Evette, and First Lady Peggy McMaster’s schedules for the week of May 28 include the following:

On Wednesday, May 29 at 11:00 AM, Gov. McMaster, Lt. Gov. Evette, and members of the General Assembly will participate in ceremonial bill signings for H. 4624, the Help Not Harm bill, and H. 3424, the Child Online Safety Act at First Baptist North Spartanburg, located at 8740 Asheville Highway in Spartanburg, S.C.

On Thursday, May 30 at 11:00 AM, Lt. Gov. Evette will attend the EFP Grand Opening event at EFP on 277 Browntown Road in Bishopville, S.C.

Gov. Henry McMaster’s schedule for May 20 included several engagements:

On Monday, May 20:

- At 11:00 AM: Gov. McMaster joined the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism for a press conference to recognize National Travel and Tourism Week at Governor's Mansion located at 800 Richland Street in Columbia.

- Office hours were held in the Office of the Governor on the first floor of the State House at 1100 Gervais Street in Columbia.

- At 12:30 PM: A policy meeting took place.

- At 2:00 PM: Gov. McMaster joined the South Carolina Department of Transportation for the I-26 Widening Calhoun Phase Kick-Off Event at Exit 129 on I-26 Eastbound Helicopter Pad in Swansea.

On Tuesday, May 21:

- Office hours were held in the Office of the Governor on the first floor of the State House at 1100 Gervais Street in Columbia.

- At 10:30 AM: A policy meeting took place.

- At 12:30 PM: Gov. McMaster participated in the Governor’s Officer of the Year Award Ceremony held at Seawell's located at 1125 Rosewood Drive in Columbia.

On Wednesday, May 22:

- At 1:00 PM: Gov. McMaster and First Lady Peggy McMaster attended the Topping Off Ceremony for the Jean and Hugh K. Leatherman Behavioral Care Pavilion located at 121 E. Cedar Street in Florence.

On Thursday, May 23:

- Office hours were held in the Office of the Governor on the first floor of State House located at 1100 Gervais Street in Columbia.

- At 9:30 AM: The Order of Palmetto was presented to Virginia Ann Mullikin at Governor’s Office in Columbia.

- At 10:00 AM and 10:15 AM followed by a policy meeting each time.

- At 12:30 PM another policy meeting was held.

- At 1:00 PM a ceremonial bill signing was conducted for H.4042 Defining Antisemitism on State House first floor located at 1100 Gervais Street in Columbia.

- At 2:00 PM media availability was scheduled.

- Two economic development calls were made respectively starting from 2:30 PM and then from 2;40 PM

- A Policy meeting was conducted again from  

3;00PM

- Agency meetings happened from
