The University of South Carolina-Columbia is the top revenue-producing women's collegiate sports program in the U.S.
That's according to the latest data compiled by the U.S. Department of Education (DOE).
In the 2021-2022 season, South Carolina's women's programs generated a collective $9.5 million ranking first of 17,644 institutions tracked.
Collectively, the schools generated $4.7 billion in revenue on women's sports, compared to $11.9 billion for men's programs, DOE reports.
