WASHINGTON — U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) and Senator Rick Scott (R-Fla.) have come forward with a resolution denouncing the Biden administration's open border policies, citing concerns over the significant influx of illegal immigrants. Senator Tim Scott emphasized the importance of enforcing existing laws, stating, “We cannot have a secure border and a safe America with a president who refuses to enforce the laws on the books.”

Senator Rick Scott expressed strong criticism towards President Biden and Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, blaming them for creating what he described as "the worst border security crisis in our nation’s history." He highlighted the impact of the open border policies, claiming they have incentivized the unlawful crossing of the U.S. southern border by millions of individuals, including criminal elements and suspected terrorists.

In response to the situation, Senator Rick Scott called for immediate action, asserting, "The laws of the United States are the same today as they were when President Trump successfully secured our southern border." He accused President Biden of deliberately failing to exercise his authority to close and secure the border, leading to the ongoing crisis.

The resolution introduced by the two senators has garnered support from a group of their colleagues, including Senators Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, and others, who aim to address the border security concerns and put an end to the escalating crisis.

Senator Scott has been actively opposing the Biden administration's open border policies and advocating for the protection of American citizens.
