Free Parking Extended Statewide To Newly Issued Military Plates

The South General Assembly has extended free parking in public metered spaces to newly-issued “military plates.”  The new plates have been available since May 6 to qualifying active-duty or prior-service military members.  Again, the free parking does not apply to military or veteran plates issued before May 6, unless they were Disabled American Veteran, Purple Heart or Medal of Honor plates, all of which are still eligible for free parking in public metered spaces.
