Aiken, SC (04/04/2022) — Continuing education students were seen all over the University of South Carolina Aiken's (USC Aiken) campus last week painting landscapes of freshly blossomed spring foliage.
The students are auditing Professor Joe Kameen's Introduction to Painting class alongside traditional students. The course covers the fundamentals of observational oil painting, with a focus on seeing and mixing color.
"I always look forward to this point in the semester when the weather lets the students get out into the landscape," Professor Kameen said. "Painting outside also called "plein air" painting is a great opportunity to take what we've been studying in the classroom and apply it to a real-world situation."
