Learn about fruits and vegetables as we take a tour of Bethea’s Garden. We will teach you to grow vegetables and herbs from items you'd normally throw in your compost bucket or trash. With little effort and a pinch of creativity you can create very imaginative indoor gardens from your kitchen leftovers!
Indigenous People: Culture, Sculpture, and Proverbs

Tour our sculpture garden and Sensory Trail to discover more information about the indigenous people of South Carolina. Through sculpture and proverbs, we will learn about hunting and gathering, their culture, and how it connects to the Lowcountry today.

We are expanding! Coming soon to the Lowcountry Zoo - a Red Wolf exhibit.
This habitat will include breeding space to assist the efforts of the Red Wolf Species Survival Plan to expand the population of Red Wolves in North America.

Upcoming Schedule
The Gardens is open to normal business hours of 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM everyday.The Old Kitchen is open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and serves beverages, homemade soups, cold sandwiches, quiche, and desserts.
Harvest Restaurant is closed and will reopen at the end of January.
