Lexington Chamber and Visitor Center recently issued the following announcement.
Come join us October 2nd from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for some food, fun, shopping and a silent auction to raise funds for the local VFW.
Here’s the rundown on this event:
This event will have vendors both inside and outside. The event will take place rain or shine!
This is a FREE event – there is no cost to attend.
50+ local vendors to shop from as well as food trucks! Rib Brothers BBQ & Kona Ice of Sumter/West Cola for food and treats!
There will be a Silent Auction to raise funds for the local VFW Post 8738 in Lexington, SC.
The Creation Station is a FREE activity for kids to come and make their own projects. More information will come for this on what the project will be exactly. We are hoping to have Make & Take tables as well. We will keep you posted!
So come on out and shop with our vendors, grab some food and treats from the food trucks and place your bids on a basket or two!
Please share the event, invite your friends and spread the word so we can reach as many people as possible in the community!
This local post provides meals to veterans who need it, they volunteer within our community to help the elderly & children, and they also provide money for some scholarships. One of the things that help them achieve all this are the fundraisers they do, usually using the kitchen, which is not currently working at the moment. While they have managed to grill out for their fundraisers, they could do so much more with a functioning kitchen! Let’s help get them closer to getting back into the kitchen so they can feed more people and raise even more funds.
