The second half of 2020: James Island experienced a 7% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2020 in James Island rose by $23,000 while total sales increased by 104.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2020, there were 147 homes sold, with a median sale price of $350,000 - a 7% increase over the $327,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 72 homes sold in James Island in the second half of 2019.

The median sales tax in James Island for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $1,291, approximately 0.4% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2020.
