December 2020: Charleston experienced a 11.2% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in December 2020 in Charleston rose by $34,800 while total sales decreased by 53.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In December 2020, there were 108 homes sold, with a median sale price of $345,750 - a 11.2% increase over the $310,950 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 232 homes sold in Charleston in December 2019.

The median sales tax in Charleston for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $1,635, approximately 0.5% of the median home sale price for December 2020.
