Following the sad incident at the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C., U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) calls for an investigation to identify those who mobbed the Capitol and wants them to be accountable.

“The U.S. Senate must reconvene today and finish our constitutional work.” Graham said in a tweet. “Calling for federal officials to form a task force to identify those who breached the Capitol, vandalized our national institutions, and expect prosecutions to the fullest extent of the law.”

Graham said in another Tweet that what recently happened at the Capitol does not reflect a true America and called it a national embarrassment.

A supporter of President Trump, the senator from South Carolina has revealed that he prayed Joe Biden would lose but has recently acknowledged that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have been legitimately elected and will become the country’s president and vice-president on Jan. 20.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif, likewise condemned the demonstration, and labeled it “un-American.”

Other GOP senators no longer plan to object to the electoral count.

President Trump loyalists stormed the Capitol in an election protest.

After his followers flooded the Capitol, Trump had asked them to go home, demonstrate peace, and have law and order.
