North Charleston home prices fall in the first quarter of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2020 in North Charleston fell by $13,000 while total sales decreased by 31.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2020, there were 282 homes sold, with a median sale price of $146,000 - a 8.2% decrease over the $159,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 412 homes sold in North Charleston in the first quarter of 2019.

The median sales tax in North Charleston for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $821, approximately 0.6% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2020.
