Charleston home prices fall in April 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in April 2020 in Charleston fell by $4,000 while total sales decreased by 44%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In April 2020, there were 223 homes sold, with a median sale price of $310,000 - a 1.3% decrease over the $314,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 398 homes sold in Charleston in April 2019.

The median sales tax in Charleston for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $1,635, approximately 0.5% of the median home sale price for April 2020.
