Melrose home prices rise in 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in 2018 in Melrose rose by $59,900 while total sales remained unchanged with five homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2018, there were five homes sold, with a median sale price of $224,900 - a 36.3% increase over the $165,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were five homes sold in Melrose in 2017, as well.

The median sales tax in Melrose for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,029, approximately 0.5% of the median home sale price for 2018.
