North Charleston home prices rise in 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in 2018 in North Charleston rose by $6,050 while total sales decreased by 14.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2018, there were 808 homes sold, with a median sale price of $139,000 - a 4.6% increase over the $132,950 median sale price for the previous year. There were 942 homes sold in North Charleston in 2017.

The median sales tax in North Charleston for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $729, approximately 0.5% of the median home sale price for 2018.
