Castlewood home prices fall in the first half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2018 in Castlewood fell by $46,500 while total sales remained unchanged with two homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2018, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $133,500 - a 25.8% decrease over the $180,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in Castlewood in the first half of 2017, as well.

The median sales tax in Castlewood for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $560, approximately 0.4% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2018.
