Melrose home prices rise in the third quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2018 in Melrose rose by $17,400 while total sales increased by 50%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2018, there were three homes sold, with a median sale price of $224,900 - a 8.4% increase over the $207,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in Melrose in the third quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Melrose for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,029, approximately 0.5% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2018.
