James Island home prices rise in the first quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2019 in James Island rose by $37,500 while total sales decreased by 35.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2019, there were 36 homes sold, with a median sale price of $312,500 - a 13.6% increase over the $275,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 56 homes sold in James Island in the first quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in James Island for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,253, approximately 0.4% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2019.
