James Island home prices fall in the second quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2019 in James Island fell by $2,000 while total sales decreased by 10.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2019, there were 34 homes sold, with a median sale price of $315,000 - a 0.6% decrease over the $317,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 38 homes sold in James Island in the second quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in James Island for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,253, approximately 0.4% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2019.
