Charleston home prices fall in May 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in May 2018 in Charleston fell by $9,500 while total sales decreased by 62.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May 2018, there were 106 homes sold, with a median sale price of $275,000 - a 3.3% decrease over the $284,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 282 homes sold in Charleston in May 2017.

The median sales tax in Charleston for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,430, approximately 0.5% of the median home sale price for May 2018.
