James Island home prices rise in December 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in December 2018 in James Island rose by $53,650 while total sales decreased by 33.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In December 2018, there were six homes sold, with a median sale price of $303,000 - a 21.5% increase over the $249,350 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were nine homes sold in James Island in December 2017.

The median sales tax in James Island for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,253, approximately 0.4% of the median home sale price for December 2018.
