Charleston home prices rise in February 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in February 2019 in Charleston rose by $25,000 while total sales decreased by 18.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In February 2019, there were 110 homes sold, with a median sale price of $300,000 - a 9.1% increase over the $275,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 135 homes sold in Charleston in February 2018.

The median sales tax in Charleston for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,430, approximately 0.5% of the median home sale price for February 2019.
