Charleston home prices rise in March 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in March 2019 in Charleston rose by $20,000 while total sales decreased by 32.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In March 2019, there were 155 homes sold, with a median sale price of $300,000 - a 7.1% increase over the $280,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 231 homes sold in Charleston in March 2018.

The median sales tax in Charleston for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,430, approximately 0.5% of the median home sale price for March 2019.
