Charleston home prices rise in May 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in May 2019 in Charleston rose by $45,000 while total sales increased by 36.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May 2019, there were 145 homes sold, with a median sale price of $320,000 - a 16.4% increase over the $275,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 106 homes sold in Charleston in May 2018.

The median sales tax in Charleston for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,430, approximately 0.4% of the median home sale price for May 2019.
