South Carolina collected $17 million in property taxes during the third quarter of 2021, a 112.5 percent increase over the second quarter, according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s Quarterly Summary of State and Local Taxes.
Second-quarter property tax revenue was $8 million.
Overall, South Carolina collected $4 billion in combined tax revenues in the third quarter of 2021.

The Census Bureau cautions that it sets the tax classifications among the survey categories, and they may differ from the classifications set by the state governments.
