Baseball America magazine has ranked the University of South Carolina baseball recruiting class as the 16th best in the country, according to gamecocksonline.com.

The ranking marks the 12th consecutive season that BA has rated the Gamecocks’ recruiting class.

UCLA was ranked the top recruiting class in the country, followed by Florida, Vanderbilt, Arkansas and Tennessee.

Carolina is coming off a season in which the Gamecocks went 34-23, including 16-14 in the Southeastern Conference (SEC), before bowing out the NCAA Regionals.

The SEC has 11 schools in the BA‘s top 25, including South Carolina.

Additionally, the SEC has nine of the top 16 classes in the BA.

Joint department program announces incentives for South Carolina residents to earn secondary diploma.

The South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce (DEW) and the South Carolina Department of Education’s Office of Adult Education (SCDE) created a partnership program called the General Education Development (GED) Inventive Program. The program offers residents the chance to earn their GED free of charge and receive a one time $500 payment if they pass the exam.
