On September 24, while working from his Statehouse office in Columbia, Gov. McMaster presented Bruce Vollnogle with the Order of the Palmetto before participating in additional policy and economic development meetings throughout the afternoon and evening. Later that day he spoke at a University of South Carolina Law School alumni reception held at the Governor’s Mansion.

The governor’s activities on Friday included joining a recovery event hosted by the Department of Transportation at Jones Gap State Park and taking part in an Emergency Management Division executive conference call.

Emergency management remained a focus over the weekend with multiple state executive conference calls and a media briefing alongside other state officials on Saturday at the Emergency Management Division headquarters in West Columbia.
