On January 29, 2026, the South Carolina Department of Transportation requested public comments on a proposed intersection improvement project at S-33 (Trenholm Road) and S-1677 (O’Neil Court) in Richland County.
The department said the proposed improvements include updated pavement markings and signs, signal upgrades, reduced lane widths, offset left-turn lanes, and raised concrete medians on roads approaching the intersection from all directions. The public is encouraged to visit the project website to learn more about the proposal and share feedback.
Comments will be accepted through February 27, 2026. Members of the public may provide comments through the project website, by mail to Keith Riddle at SCDOT, 955 Park Street, Columbia, SC 29201, by calling 803-737-0431, or by email to RiddleWK@scdot.org. The department said all comments received during the comment period will be reviewed and included in the project record. Individuals who request a response will receive one.
