The University of South Carolina announced on April 24 that its men’s baseball game against Kentucky, originally scheduled for later in the day on April 25 at Founders Park, will now begin at 1 p.m. The schedule change is due to forecasts predicting storms in the Midlands region late Saturday afternoon.

This adjustment aims to ensure player and spectator safety by avoiding severe weather conditions that could impact the event. The university said the new start time will help avoid potential delays or cancellations caused by inclement weather.

The game will be available for viewing via streaming on SEC Network Plus, allowing fans who cannot attend in person to follow the action remotely.

Such scheduling changes are not uncommon during spring sports seasons when unpredictable weather can affect outdoor events. Officials regularly monitor forecasts and adjust plans as needed to maintain safety and minimize disruptions.

Looking ahead, fans are encouraged to check official channels for any further updates regarding scheduling or broadcast details should weather conditions change again.
