The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has announced a temporary closure of the Socastee swing bridge in Horry County on September 27. The bridge, which spans the Intracoastal Waterway, will be closed from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. for filming purposes.
During this period, traffic will be rerouted via SC 544. A detour route with appropriate signage will be established before the closure to guide motorists.
