Shamrock Technologies to relocate headquarters to Laurens County, creating 57 jobs

Shamrock Technologies, Inc. announced on Mar. 10 that it will relocate its corporate headquarters as part of a $39.6 million expansion in Laurens County, South Carolina, which is expected to create 57 new jobs.

The move is significant for the local economy and workforce, as Shamrock Technologies is recognized as a global leader in specialty additives used in coatings, inks, greases, and lubricants. The company began operations in South Carolina in 2022 after acquiring a manufacturing facility that produces micronized wax and related products.

The new headquarters will be located at 101 Connexial Blvd. in Gray Court and will include offices, research and development labs, a pilot plant, warehouse space, and production facilities. Some operations are expected to begin by the end of 2027 with full completion anticipated by the end of 2030.

We are proud to see companies succeed here and look forward to Shamrock’s continued success as they bring 57 new jobs to our state.” According to the official website, McMaster leads as governor of South Carolina and serves its residents while operating within state government administration.

Secretary of Commerce Harry M. Lightsey III added that Shamrock’s investment demonstrates the advantages that South Carolina offers growing businesses through economic development opportunities.

Laurens County Council Chairman Jeff Carroll welcomed the company’s headquarters relocation: “Their expansion is a testament to our business-friendly environment and our strong workforce. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Shamrock into the future.”

According to the official website, the Office of the Governor focuses on fostering economic development through partnerships with local governments and organizations while supporting education initiatives and workforce training programs across South Carolina.
