Senator Scott can nominate a select number of South Carolina students to the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. The U.S. Coast Guard Academy does not require a congressional nomination.

Senator Scott said, “Our nation’s prestigious service academies offer extensive educational and career opportunities, and gaining acceptance to one of these distinguished institutions is a tremendous honor. It is a privilege to have a role in helping students pursue a rewarding academic and professional career in the U.S. military, and I look forward to nominating students who represent the best of our nation.”

Interested students must submit their applications by 11:59 PM EST on October 17, 2025. More information about the application process can be found at www.scott.senate.gov/academy.
