U.S. Senator Tim Scott, representing South Carolina and a member of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP), met with Linda McMahon, who has been nominated by President Trump to serve as the U.S. Secretary of Education. Senator Scott also serves as Co-Chair of the Congressional School Choice Caucus.

Following their meeting, Senator Scott expressed his support for McMahon’s nomination. He stated, “Linda McMahon understands that education is the closest thing we have to magic in America. I have no doubt she will be a champion of school choice and parental rights and will fight to unlock opportunity for children of all backgrounds.”

Senator Scott emphasized his anticipation of collaborating with both McMahon and President Trump to ensure equitable access to quality education for students nationwide. He remarked, “I look forward to working with her and President Trump to ensure that every student across our nation – regardless of race or zip code – has access to a quality education.”
