U.S. Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina, who serves on the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, recently met with Congresswoman Lori Chavez-DeRemer. Chavez-DeRemer has been nominated by President Trump to take on the role of Secretary of Labor.

Following their meeting, Senator Scott released a statement highlighting the productive nature of their discussion. “I found my meeting with Congresswoman Lori Chavez-DeRemer, President Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Labor, to be constructive,” said Scott. He further commented on President Trump’s efforts to support the working class: “President Trump has worked to rebuild the working class and will make sure they have every opportunity to achieve their individual versions of the American Dream.”

Senator Scott expressed his commitment to continue advocating for American workers’ rights and economic opportunities.
