U.S. Senator Tim Scott, a member of the Senate Finance Committee, met with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has been nominated by President-elect Trump to lead the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Senator Scott shared his thoughts following the meeting, stating: “I had a productive discussion with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. this evening about the future of our nation’s healthcare system, preventing taxpayer funded abortion, and Americans’ long-term wellbeing.”

Scott emphasized the importance of allowing President Trump to select his Cabinet members freely: “President Trump won a sweeping victory and should have the latitude to choose the Cabinet he feels will best serve the American people.”

He also expressed anticipation for further evaluation during Kennedy’s confirmation hearing: “I look forward to learning more and further considering his nomination during his upcoming confirmation hearing.”
