Chairman Scott emphasized the importance of confirming qualified nominees swiftly: “Confirming nominees is one of the most important things we do here in this committee, so it is imperative that we continue to move at a rapid pace to get qualified nominees into the Executive Branch.”

Scott highlighted each nominee’s qualifications: “Mr. Andrew Hughes…brings a strong track record of operational leadership that will be instrumental in strengthening HUD’s efficiency,” while “Mr. David Woll…is well-positioned to provide…sound legal guidance.” Regarding Michelle Bowman, he stated she would “bring accountability and transparency to the Fed.”

For John Hurley, Scott noted his role in leading national security efforts: “Mr. John Hurley…is being called to lead one of our government’s most important national security and intelligence arms.” On David Fogel’s nomination, he said Fogel brings “a wealth of international business experience” essential for American competitiveness globally.
