U.S. Senator Tim Scott from South Carolina released a statement highlighting the importance of South Carolina’s workforce in contributing to both state and national economic growth. Emphasizing his support for former President Trump’s trade policies, Senator Scott stressed his commitment to ensuring fair trade practices.

He remarked, “I’m committed to supporting President Trump’s America First agenda and ensuring our trading partners aren’t taking advantage of us.” Senator Scott praised the workforce, stating, “The truth is simple: the men and women of South Carolina are some of the smartest and hardest working people in the world.”

Pointing to significant investments as evidence of this workforce’s value, Scott noted BMW’s financial commitments in the region, saying, “This is why BMW has chosen to invest billions of dollars in the Upstate, which has a significant positive economic impact on the state of South Carolina and our nation.” He dismissed contrary opinions on the matter as “ridiculous.”
