The South Carolina Department of Transportation announced that it will install an all-way stop intersection on SC-6 at Meadowfield Road and Jim Spence Road in Lexington County beginning March 13 as part of a roundabout project.

Signs have been placed to notify drivers about the upcoming change in the traffic pattern. The department said the all-way stop is being installed ahead of planned construction of a roundabout, which aims to create a safer intersection.

Construction of the roundabout is expected to be completed in 2027, according to the department.

The South Carolina Department of Transportation asks that drivers slow down and pay attention to signs and crews when driving through the area.

Further details about this project can be found on the official roster page at the organization’s website.
