The South Carolina Department of Transportation announced that it will begin demolishing the old US-21 (Columbia Road) bridge over Interstate 26 at Exit 129 in Lexington County. The demolition is scheduled to take place from March 30 to April 1, depending on weather conditions.

To facilitate the demolition, traffic on I-26 will be routed around the site using the Exit 129 exit and entrance ramps. This work is planned for nightly hours, from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m.

Signage will be placed along the route to inform drivers about the temporary traffic pattern during these nights. Law enforcement officers will be present and directing traffic at key intersections near the work zone.

The South Carolina Department of Transportation has asked drivers to slow down and pay attention when driving near the area where demolition activities are taking place.

More information about this project can be found according to the official roster page.
