The South Carolina Department of Transportation announced that the Zinker Road Bridge over Fishing Creek Tributary in York County will be closed for replacement beginning March 16. The closure is expected to last until December 2026.

According to the department, the bridge replacement has been rescheduled to begin on March 30, with an estimated construction duration of nine months. During this period, a detour route will be set up using Holland Road and Eastview Road. Zinker Road will remain open to local traffic only, except at the bridge site.

The department said a map of the closure and detour is available for public reference. Drivers are asked to slow down and pay attention to signs and crews when driving near the work zone.
