The South Carolina Department of Transportation announced on March 27 that it will close and detour the SC 200 bridge over Minton Creek in Fairfield County for a bridge replacement beginning April 1.

According to the department, the bridge is expected to reopen in summer 2027. A detour route has been established as part of this closure, and a map of the detour is available. The department said that SC 200 will remain open to local traffic only, except at the bridge site.

“SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention to signs and crews when driving through the area,” according to the announcement.

Further details about the project and updates can be found on the official roster page at the organization’s website.
