The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is seeking public input on proposed bridge replacement projects in Colleton, Dorchester, and Horry counties. The initiative includes replacing bridges on S-41 (Ritter Road) over the Ashepoo River in Colleton County, S-19 (Wire Road) over Indian Fields Swamp in Dorchester County, and two bridges in Horry County: S-105 (Old Reaves Ferry Rd) over Stanley Creek and S-57 (N Old River Rd) over Willow Creek.
Interested parties can visit the project website at projectportal.scdot.org/bridge-package-22 to learn more about the plans and provide feedback. Comments will be accepted until February 6, 2026. Feedback can be submitted through the website, by mail to Michael Pitts at SCDOT’s Columbia office, by phone at (803) 737-2566, or via email to PittsME@scdot.org.
SCDOT assures that all comments received during the designated period will be reviewed and included in the project record. Respondents may request a response to their comments. However, contributors should be aware that any information provided is subject to disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act.
