The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has announced that it will implement temporary nighttime lane closures on SC 544 over the Intracoastal Waterway in Horry County. These closures are scheduled to start on July 21 and continue until July 24. The purpose of these closures is to allow crews to perform routine inspections of the bridge.
The lane closures will occur each night, beginning at 7 p.m. and ending at 6 a.m. the following morning. SCDOT advises drivers to reduce speed and remain attentive when traveling near the work zone.
