The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) will continue its work on concrete repairs and resurfacing of sidewalks and curbs in downtown Charleston, Charleston County. The project is scheduled to occur from Monday to Friday, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The affected roadways include Ashley Avenue, from Bee Street to Beaufain Street, and Ashley Boulevard, from Broad Street to Murray Avenue. Work on these streets is planned from July 7 to July 11.

While traffic will be maintained during the construction period, sidewalk access may be limited or detoured at times. Additionally, street parking could be restricted or prohibited as needed.

SCDOT advises drivers to consider alternate routes if possible and urges them to slow down and remain attentive to crews and signage when traveling near the work zones.
