The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has announced a temporary closure of the right lane on I-20 Eastbound over the Wateree River in Kershaw County. The closure, set between mile markers 95 and 97, is necessary for rehabilitation work on the overflow bridge.

According to SCDOT, weather permitting, the work will commence at 7 p.m. on July 20 and continue until 1 p.m. on July 24. The department advises drivers to slow down and remain attentive while passing through the work zone.

Drivers are also encouraged to plan their routes in advance using the 511SC App or by visiting 511sc.org.
